Usage Policy
What you may and may not do with AI AIDE products and anything you build with them.
On this page
1. Who and what this covers
This Usage Policy applies to everyone who uses any AI AIDE product or service, including Co-Create, our websites, our AI assistants and our Consulting Services (the "Services"). It covers what you do with the Services, the content you put in, the output you get out, and every app, site, automation or other product you build, host, publish or run with them (your "Creations"). It is part of our product terms, including the Co-Create Terms of Service and our Website Terms of Use. If you let other people use a Creation, you are responsible for making sure their use follows this policy too.
2. Illegal and harmful activity
Do not use the Services or a Creation to:
- break any law or regulation, or help or encourage anyone else to;
- create, store or share child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualizes minors. We report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to law enforcement;
- create or share non-consensual intimate images, including realistic AI-generated ones;
- plan, promote or facilitate violence, terrorism, human trafficking or the exploitation of anyone;
- develop or acquire weapons capable of mass casualties (biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological), or explosives;
- buy, sell or facilitate illegal goods or services, including drugs, weapons or stolen data;
- engage in fraud, scams, pyramid schemes, money laundering, or unlicensed gambling, lending or financial services;
- infringe or misappropriate anyone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.
3. Security and abuse of systems
Do not:
- create or distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, credential stealers, or code meant to damage, disable or gain unauthorized access to any system;
- build phishing pages, fake login pages, or anything that collects passwords, payment details or other credentials under false pretenses;
- probe, scan, test or attack the security of the Services or of any system or network you are not authorized to test (good-faith research under our Security page is welcome);
- get around rate limits, usage limits, credit metering, paywalls, access controls or content safeguards, including by jailbreaking our AI assistants or using another person's account;
- overload, disrupt or interfere with the Services or the services they rely on, including denial-of-service attacks or excessive automated traffic;
- access, collect or "scrape" other users' data, or reverse engineer the Services except where the law expressly allows it;
- use the Services to run cryptocurrency mining or other compute-heavy workloads unrelated to building your Creations.
4. Deception and harm to people
Do not:
- harass, threaten, bully, stalk, defame or intimidate anyone, or promote hatred or violence against people based on protected characteristics;
- impersonate any person or organization, or create content or Creations that falsely appear to come from someone else, including official-looking copies of real businesses, governments or brands;
- create or spread disinformation designed to deceive people about elections, public health, emergencies or civic processes;
- present AI-generated content as human-made, or as a real person's words, image or voice, in a way that is likely to mislead;
- create fake reviews, testimonials, receipts, records or credentials presented as genuine;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or build tools designed to do so;
- encourage self-harm or eating disorders.
5. Privacy and personal data
If a Creation collects personal information from its users, you must give them the notices and obtain the consents the law requires, keep it secure, and use it only as you told them. Do not use the Services to:
- collect, track or monitor people without legal authority or their consent, including covert surveillance or facial recognition databases;
- build profiles to discriminate against people in housing, employment, credit, insurance, education or access to essential services;
- process sensitive data (such as health, biometric or children's data) unless you comply with the laws that apply to it. Do not build apps directed at children under 13 without complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
6. High-risk uses
AI output can be wrong. Do not use the Services or AI output, without qualified human review, to make decisions or give advice that could seriously affect someone's health, safety, legal rights, finances, employment, housing or access to essential services, or to operate critical infrastructure, medical devices, vehicles or weapons. If a Creation gives medical, legal, financial or similar advice, it must say that it is not a substitute for a qualified professional.
7. Fair use of the Services
Do not:
- create multiple accounts, or use fake or borrowed identities or payment methods, to get extra free trials, starter credits, referral credits or promotional benefits;
- resell, sublicense or share access to the Services, or run automated sign-ups, without our written permission;
- use the Services to build a product that copies or competes with them by extracting our prompts, data or output in bulk;
- use the Services in a way that costs us an unreasonable amount compared with ordinary use of your plan.
8. Rules from the AI providers we use
The Services use AI models from providers including Anthropic and OpenAI. Your use must also follow their usage policies, which we pass on to you as part of this policy: the Anthropic Usage Policy (https://www.anthropic.com/legal/aup) and the OpenAI Usage Policies (https://openai.com/policies/usage-policies). If they conflict with this policy, the stricter rule applies. Do not use the output of the Services to develop AI models that compete with those providers where their terms forbid it.
9. App store and platform rules
If you publish a Creation to the Apple App Store, Google Play or another platform, you must follow that platform's rules. We are not responsible if a platform rejects or removes your Creation.
10. What we do when something breaks this policy
We may review content and Creations, automatically and by people, to enforce this policy. If we believe something breaks it, we may, depending on how serious it is and at our discretion: refuse or stop an AI request; remove or disable content; pause, unpublish or take down a Creation, including its preview and live site; limit features; withhold or remove credits obtained through abuse; suspend or close an account; and report activity to law enforcement or other authorities. Where it is appropriate and the law allows, we will tell you what happened and why, and you may reply to cyberdesigner@aiaide.io if you think we made a mistake. We may act without notice when there is a risk of harm, a legal requirement, or a threat to the security of the Services. Taking action, or not taking it, does not waive our right to act later.
11. Reporting
If you see something built or shared with our Services that breaks this policy, email cyberdesigner@aiaide.io with the subject "Abuse report" and tell us where to find it. Copyright complaints follow our Copyright and DMCA Policy. Security vulnerabilities follow our Security page.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the Services, the law and the risks change. The current version always applies.
